Authority for an agent to obtain an individual’s credit information file held by credit reporting agency (Privacy Act 1988)
You authorise Connective Services Pty Ltd (us) to act as your agent in seeking access to your consumer credit information file held by a credit reporting agency. This authority only applies to enquiries made by us in connection with:
• An application, or proposed application, by you for credit
• You having sought advice in relation to existing credit
Authority to exchange information with other credit providers In accordance with Section 18N(1)(b) of the Privacy Act, you authorise us to give and obtain from credit providers named in this credit application, and credit providers that may be named in a credit report issued by a credit reporting agency, information about your credit arrangements. You understand this information can include any information about your credit worthiness, credit standing, credit history, or credit capacity that credit providers are allowed to give or receive from each other under the Privacy Act 1988.
You understand the information may be used for the following purposes:
• To assess an application by you for credit.
• To assist you to avoid defaulting on your credit obligations.
• To notify other credit providers of a default by you.
• To assess your credit worthiness.
• To allow us continuing access to information held by the Credit Provider in order to assist you in the administration of your credit facility (s).
If The Credit Provider considers it relevant to assess your application for personal credit, you agree to The Credit Provider obtaining a report about your commercial activities or commercial credit worthiness from a business which provides information about the commercial credit worthiness of persons.
If The Credit Provider considers it relevant to assessing your application for commercial credit, you agree to The Credit Provider obtaining from a credit reporting agency a credit report containing personal credit information about you in relation to commercial credit provided The Credit Provider.
Authority for Mortgage Insurers You authorise a Mortgage Insurer to obtain your credit report from a credit reporting agency and in accordance with Section 18N(bb) of the Privacy Act you authorise us and the Credit Provider to disclose a report or information to a Mortgage Insurer to assess whether to insure or the risk of insuring the Credit Provider for the mortgage credit given to you, or to assess the risk of default by you on the mortgage credit, for any purposes arising under the contract of mortgage insurance between the Credit Provider/mortgagee and the Mortgage Insurer.
Acknowledgement of use for marketing purposes We may disclose personal information about you to an associate or contractor of ours, including statement printing houses, mail houses, Lawyers, Accountants or to people or business considering acquiring or taking an interest in us.
You authorise the use of this information for direct marketing purposes.
Continuing Authority You authorise us to act as your agent in seeking access to consumer credit information held by the Credit Provider about you. This authority continues until you otherwise revoke this authority in writing.
You declare that you are over the age of 18 and the information contained in this application and attached statements are true and correct in every particular and it is upon this basis that you make this application.
